By purchasing an item advertised for sale on the website, you are deemed to accept our terms and conditions as written below. You should read and ensure you understand those terms and conditions before you buy. reserves the right to update and change its terms and conditions without prior warning.  You can, at all times, read the latest version of our terms and conditions here on this site/page. make reservations for typing errors and price errors, change in prices, VAT, currency, taxes, force majeure, sold out or no longer available items. Importantly, the designers and artists whose items are available on the site (the “Suppliers”) are responsible for all aspects of order fulfillment, including shipping, insurance and handling.


Who is who

The contract for sale is between you and the Supplier. is neither the buyer nor the seller of the Supplier's products, even though we will receive your payment on behalf of the Supplier. As such, any contractual obligations arising out of your purchase of the Supplier’s products are the responsibility of the Supplier to you. has no responsibility to you in relation to your order from a Supplier or any Supplier’s Products, except as expressly set out in these terms.

LINKS may contain links to other sites. The purpose of these links is to make it easier for our visitors to find further and more information. cannot be held responsible for the content on these sites.


PERSONAL InfoRmations

In order to shop on you have to provide personal information including details of your name, address, phone number, email address and credit card.

This information will only be used when processing your order and will at no time be handed over, sold or shared with third party unless this is strictly necessary in order to “get the deal done”.

We register the IP-address of each computer used to make a purchase. The IP-address will only be in use in police matters or as otherwise required by law. Please note that all fake orders are reported to the police.

Private customers order directly on Companies and government institutions can contact for direct orders and terms of delivery.


When you have placed your order on, we will confirm your order via an e-mail sent to the mail address provided when registering with us. The mail will contain your unique order number and information on the items you have bought. Please save your order confirmation or note the number in case you need to contact us regarding your order.




All prices on can be found in DKK and USD. The DKK prices includes Danish VAT (25%) and excludes costs for delivery. The cost for delivery will depend on amount, weight and choice of shipment.

VAT, customs and import expenses

If you order Products from our site for delivery to one of the International Delivery Destinations, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes which are applied when the delivery reaches that destination. Please note that neither we nor the Supplier have any control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the Products are destined. We and the Supplier will not be liable or responsible if you break any such law.

Couriers are obligated to pay customs for any taxes due when importing an item. They will keep hold of any item until those duties have been paid by the customer and this can result in delays to delivery as well as additional clearance charges levied by the courier


As many of the items will be made especially for you, the Supplier will be sending the item him/herself. This means that if you order from 2+ different artists there will be cost for shipment from each purchase.  

Our finest goal in is to help the artists make a living of their art and thus we hope for your understanding in this situation.

Your order will be fulfilled as soon as reasonable, unless there is an Event Outside Control. If we are unable to fulfil delivery because of an Event Outside Control, we will contact you.

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for delay in shipment.

Delivery will be completed when the Products are delivered to the address you gave when making the order.

The Products will be your responsibility from the completion of delivery.

You own the Products once you have made the payment in full, including all applicable delivery charges.

We do our best to encourage sellers to ship worldwide, but in some cases, Suppliers will only ship to a limited set of countries.

We encourage our Suppliers to ship with trusted courier. 


At we accept the following payment:  VisaDankort, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro and MasterCard.

Payment with Danish and international credit cards will be facing fees of 1,35% of the value of the purchase. will encrypt your card information with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology (a international safety standard). This is standard way of securing internet-based payments and mean that you card number and other information cannot be read by others during the transaction. As an extra security all of the information on your credit card will be deleted after your purchase is completed, except as required by law.

Payment can also be done by bank transfer. On the payment page you should select ”bank transfer” and transfer the total amount to our bank account (which we will receive on behalf of the Supplier). When the transaction has been processed will inform our Supplier to ship your order.

Time of delivery

When ordering items on the item will be send directly from our individual Supplier.

Our Suppliers have committed to send the item within 5 working days unless other is specified on the product. However please note that the shipment can take up to 30 days as some of our items are specially made.

Should an item be out of stock we will contact you to make arrangements for a new date of delivery.

We cannot be held responsible for delay in shipment.

Shipment ships with Post Danmark in Denmark and the Supplier will send your order worldwide with a shipping/courier solution selected by them.

Please note that if you do not pick up your order we claim the right to charge you for all expenses in respect to shipment.

It is your responsibility to provide an address that allows for delivery. For example, some PO Box’s may not be big enough when ordering a ceramics bowl. cannot be held responsible for delay in deliveries; all your recourse is to the Supplier.


The item is insured by the Supplier when shipped and it is important that you check the item when you receive it. Has the item been damaged upon receipt you must report this to customerservice@artdistrict.dkno later than 2 days after receipt. Contact to arrange for returning the item.


Force Majeure is an event that is out of the control of, for example war, riots, strikes,  lockouts, commerce fights, fires, break downs, poor weather, abruption of transport  and so forth.



In the event that you regret your purchase you have 14 days to do return the order upon receipt. If you wish to do so, please send us a mail on: Kindly include following information:

♦ Date of purchase and receipt

♦ Name

♦ Address

♦ Account/Bank information (No. Of the account where to you wish your money refunded)

♦ the reason for returning the item. This, to teach us about potential optimization.

Please note that you can only return your order if it is in same condition and same amounts as when received.  Your right of withdrawal will waive if the item has been used, the tags have been taken off, the original wrapping is damaged etc. Should we disagree that these terms have been meet we will contact you by e-mail.

All charges for returning the item will be held by you.


If you wish to exchange your purchase please just withdraw your order and make a new one. 


Please note that when returning an item, you are responsible for the item until received by the Supplier. Should the item brake or suffer any damages caused by e.g. poor wrapping you will be responsible for the related expenses and repair/replacement. We recommend that you send it by a trusted courier with insurance.

Returns by post

Please return your item directly to the Supplier (as in, where the order was sent from). Should you return the item ”pay-on-delivery” it will be refused upon delivery. Please remember to save the receipt from the courier your have chosen to return the item.  

Returns in respect to christms presents and deadline for ordereing

Around Christmas we have extended withdrawal and right of returns deadlines. It is extended until January 14th.

We will send orders until Christmas but if you want to make sure that your order is delivered before Christmas please place your order before December 12th

Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information on delivery. Many items can be sent from day to day, but many others are special made upon order and that might take more days. 


As soon as the Supplier has received the returned item (and approved the return of the item) we will refund the outstanding amount to your account. Please allow up to 14 days for the money to be in your account. 



There are certain terms that have to be met before ART DISTRICT will approve that an item has a defect or flaw meriting return:

♦ The item is ”born” with the defect or flaw and is therefore present when you receive the item.  
♦ you must make your complaint within reasonable time. This is 14 days. You have a duty to examine within 14 days to ensure that it has not damaged or defects.  
This means that the right to complain does not cover defects or flaws occurring as a result of ”wrong use of the product”, a result of wrongly or lack of maintenance, by injurious behavior, by accidents as dropping it on the floor or by normal wear and tear through 2 years.

Porcelain and ceramics

Part of ART DISTRICTs items are handmade ceramics and porcelain. Handmade items are unique and thus no items are 100% identical.  There may be slight variations in colors, forms and nuances.  ART DISTRICT does not accept these as damaged or defect. And we cannot be held responsible for these smaller variations.


There can be a difference in the way a color look when looking at the site and seeing it in real life. This will vary depending on your computer screen and the color definition on this. 

These differences must be expected and is not accepted as a complaint.
