Goldsmith Louise Degn likes flea markets and second-hans dealers. When browsing through the markets she get´s new ideas and inspiration and this was also how the Bangladesh ring came to live. Louise bought a handfuld of old molds in an antique store in Copenhagen and one of them had the shape of the Bangladesh ring. Louise is guessing that they were originally used for making belt buckles.
For Louise Degn it is important that the entertaining and fun elements in her jewellery are (always) included:
”I am not driven by the "neat and nice" that you find at regular goldsmiths. Humour and laughs have always come first for me when I am designing. It like the fact that people smile and laugh when they see my jewellery".
Designing the Bangladesh ring, Louise has - again - underlined, that using with the right set of eyes (Louises) when looking at things, you have impeccable inspiration oppertunities everywhere. Using Louises talent to design your inspiration, it can be transformed into diverse, new and unbelivable beautiful and exclusive jewelleries.
